Nichole Smith (Screenwriter/ Producer/Parent) has worked on several short films, including films for HBO's iconic show, Sesame Street. Early in their career, their zombie apocalypse short story, 6 Things That'll Make Gen-1 Post Death Dusting Kids Say "Oh I Remember That!" was published in the Bravera Journal. This prose won a first-place prize, scholarship money, and the self-confidence they needed to continue their education. They graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Electronic Arts. Nichole hopes to someday work in Late Night television. Their focus is on projects that educate (and laugh at) the American political process as well as projects that push past ambiguous representation and bring into focus rich characters that represent the cross sections of people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, people of color, and other underrepresented communities. When Nichole isn't practicing political jokes or writing comics, you can find them cuddling on the couch with their labradoodle, partner, and two teens watching a Studio Ghibli movie.
