Spencer LaFever grew up near Washington D.C. He spent most of his time making creative things with his friends and family, until an infection of his brain fluid derailed his life and education. After a lengthy recovery, Spencer graduated film school at CSULB, when the Covid-19 pandemic struck. Because budget constraints were already proving to be tough on independent projects, New Atlantis Comic Collective was formed as an alternative.
Spencer’s work is inspired by the intersection where the human condition meets the human ability to do the impossible. Through storytelling, he aims to change the way we see ourselves and our world.
